How I Work From Home with a Toddler

You know that song that is trending on Tik Tok right now that goes "Don't ask me how I did it, I just did it, it was hard!"

That's how I feel most days. Ha.

But in all reality, it is tough most days! But there are some days where I feel like "Wow, I can do this!" And it's a great feeling!

Being able to bring in money while I chase around my toddler has been the biggest opportunity and blessing in our little family's life. So grateful for it, even with the challenges. Here are some tips I've found that help me be able to work while I am the primary caregiver. Tip one:

SCREENTIME!

Hahahaha. Just kidding...... sometimes I need to turn on a show but I try to avoid when I can. Here are a few real tips:

1. Get a big ol' carboard box, like a refrigerator or vacuum box and put them in with crayons, markers (if you trust them, I don't!) or post it notes to play/ color with.

2. Take 2 baking sheets and pans and put ice in one of them. Give them a large serving spoon and have them move all the ice back and forth.

3. Encourage independent play (of course, duh obvious right.)

4. Get a little play piano! This is so fun and keeps my 15-month-old busy for at least 5 minutes, which if you have a busy kid like I do, this is amazing!

5. Set up a little workspace for them near yours and let them "work" with you!

6. Set up a childcare switch with another working mom in the neighborhood! You can trade off having all the kids while the other works and vice versa.

7. Play with STICKERS! Stickers are a life saver. Pro Tip: Get the RAISED stickers so you can peel them off easily.

Any way you slice it, it is challenging to work from home with kids, but I am cheering for you! If you need an idea on what kid of job provides ultimate flexibility and great pay, I teach SAHM's how to be Influencer Assistants, and it's the golden mom job! Check it out here!
